It snowed last night. It started in the evening as a light snowfall, a flake here and there of little importance. Morning arrived, and the event was elevated. It was our first good snow of the season and something to celebrate. The snow arrived on the day of the winter solstice and just in time for Christmas. Something seemed just right about this gift of snow today, a recognition that life in the city was just as it should be for this time of year and all would be well.
