A Snowy Walk in Inwood Hill Park on January 20, 2025
Listening to the weather reports on Monday morning made me almost fearful of stepping outside. Yet my yearning for a snowy birdwatching walk was too great to overcome.
I managed to bundle up in multiple layers and head out to Inwood Hill Park.
The first big snow is the best snow, and I am glad for my walking ways. Otherwise I would have missed these sights.
For those unfamiliar with the landscapes of Northern Manhattan, such wildness can be a great surprise.
Inwood Hill Park is accessible by the A train to its northernmost stop at W. 207th Street. Walk west, and behold the winter wonders of New York City.
