Transit Advisories

Greetings, all diplomats gathered this week for the United Nations General Assembly!

Please be advised that midtown traffic is a mess, thanks to all y'all coming to town. Those interested in visiting The Cloisters will have to wait till tomorrow, because the museum is closed on Monday. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran plans to speak at Columbia University today and will be tying up all traffic uptown anyway.

Also the A Train above 168th poses challenges for September 29-30 from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Sun. and again on Oct. 6-8 12:01 a.m. Sat to 5 a.m. Mon. For those hoping to visit The Cloisters but not willing to walk the length of Manhattan, please get off the train at 168th and take the M4 bus up to Fort Tryon Park.
